Honda Australia confirms pricing and specification for the new HR-V and HR-V hybrid.

Honda’s new generation HR-V crossover is available to buyers in Australia, starting at $36,700 driveaway without hyrid assistance, and $45,000 driveaway with the new hybrid drivetrain.

For now, Honda Australia is selling two versions of the HR-V, a hybrid, which we’ve driven already overseas, and a petrol non-hybrid.

The entry Vi X ($36,700 driveaway) equipment includes 18-inch alloys, tinted windows, 9.0-inch infotinamnet screen with wireless Apple CarPlay, sat nav, keyless entry and walkaway locking, and Honda SENSING suite of driver-assist and safety technologies which includes Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow (LSF), High Beam Support System and Traffic Sign Recognition.

The new hybrid HR-V e:HEV L is priced from $45,000 driveaway. Additional equipment includes heated front seats and steering wheel wrapped in leather, acoustic windscreen, rear air vents with USB ports, LED headlights with cornering function, Blind Spot Information System, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Intelligent speed assist, Hands-free power tailgate with walk-away close, Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS), Auto-dimming rear view mirror and auto rain sensing wipers.

Commenting on the new HR-V range which is positioned with a higher price than before, Honda Australia Director, Stephen Collins says: “Repositioned as a sophisticated entry point to the Honda vehicle line-up in Australia, the all-new HR-V represents the beginning of a new chapter for Honda’s small SUV, elevating premium styling and quality alongside the HR-V’s enduring trademarks of spaciousness and versatility,@ he said.

“It successfully extends the Honda brand’s reputation for quality, functionality and practicality, and presents it with an individual and fun style, all within a compact package designed to appeal to modern consumers.”
