Triple Eight Race Engineering to provide comprehensive on-track support for Mercedes-AMG customers racing through Australia and New Zealand.

Queensland-based racing experts Triple Eight Race Engineering has confirmed it will officially provide a suite of services for Mercedes-AMG and its customer’s racing teams across the Pacific region. Triple Eight has enjoyed multiple title wins in the Australian Supercars Championship, the team also has numerous achievements in GT racing.

“Having been a part of both the Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing and Performance Racing programs over the last few years, everyone at Triple Eight is very excited and honoured by the opportunity to further expand our relationship with Mercedes-AM,” said Roland Dane, Triple Eight Race Engineering boss.

“Our GT program has enjoyed success both on and off the track under the AMG umbrella. We take very seriously the task of the expanded affiliation with the Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing brand with the provision of both factory parts and service for GT3 and GT4 cars in Australia and New Zealand. We look forward helping to grow the number of Mercedes-AMG customer cars in the region by providing unrivalled backup for AMG racing owners.”

Triple Eight will have an operation dedicated to supporting Mercedes-AMG and its development partner HWA AG that will give racing customers services including comprehensive repair and rebuilding of Mercedes-AMG GT3 and GT4 race cars and a devoted spare parts truck for expedient repairs at select race and test events across both Australia and New Zealand.

Customers benefit from shorter distances and comprehensive service that, in cooperation with HWA AG, also includes engineering services. Long-standing HWA expert, Andrew Barrett, will remain on duty as a support engineer.

The new motorsport hub pools all Customer Racing competences for the region at the same level as in Affalterbach.”
