Updated Bentley Bentayga SUV expected to adopt Continental GT styling.

Bentley has been spied testing a new Bentayga SUV, with the brand’s best selling model set to receive a facelift later this year.

The updates are expected to bring the SUV’s styling up to date with the latest Continental GT and Flying Spur.

As this prototype and previous mules have hinted at, changes will include a new front bumper with a reworked skid plate, a new, larger mesh radiator grille and new tailgate with new tail lights too.

Bentley will also fit new LED headlamp units and larger daytime running lights, which are similar in design to those found on the facelifted Flying Spur. The revised lights will be mounted in a pair of reprofiled front wings, slightly broader than before to give the Bentayga a flatter face.

Inside, we expect the updated Bentayga will adopt the same three-sided rotating dashboard panel as the Continental GT and Flying Spur, which gives the driver the option of displaying a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a simple veneer panel or a collection of three analogue gauges which show the outside temperature, a chronograph and compass.

Any engine changes won’t be anywhere near as extensive, if planned at all. The Bentayga looks likely to retain an engine line-up consisting of V8 and W12 petrol models, followed by a six-cylinder plug-in hybrid and a performance-oriented Speed model.
