Following in the wheeltracks of the sleeker Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV RS, the Czech brand has revealed a performance version of the regular Enyaq iV SUV.

A new Skoda Enyaq iv RS is joining the hot version of the Enyaq Coupe. Following in the wheeltracks of the sleeker coupe-styled Skoda Enyaq RS, the Czech brand has revealed a performance version of the regular Enyaq iV SUV.

The more practical electric RS features the same 82kWh battery as its sibling, supplying a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with a total of 220kW and 460Nm of torque. This output is identical to the coupe’s, and so is the 6.5-second 0-100km/h time.

Skoda claims the range stands at 499km, while 135kW recharging capability means the battery can be topped up to 80 per cent in as little as 35 minutes. The regular SUV-bodied Enyaq RS is more practical than the coupe because the boxier shape means 15 litres more boot space, at 585 litres in total.

In typical RS fashion, this hottest Enyaq features a gloss black grille surround, which is also illuminated by 131 LEDs as standard. The door mirrors, rear diffuser insert and E-shaped air curtain intakes are also gloss black.

While not yet available in Australia, Skoda plans to launch the Enyaq locally next year.
