BMW’s four-seater coupe and Convertible will be offered with a reduced powertrain range, but more standard kit.

BMW is set to impress enthusiasts with the rejuvenated 2024 BMW 4 Series Coupe and Convertible, featuring a host of enhancements, from a refreshed exterior to an upgraded interior. The eagerly awaited models are expected to hit the streets this year, introducing exciting changes that redefine the driving experience.

The exterior of the 2024 4 Series undergoes a significant transformation, starting with the introduction of new LED headlights that redefine the lighting signature, available in both standard LED and Matrix LED options. The front bumper sees trim changes, and the controversial grilles are now surrounded by matte chrome, presenting a refined yet distinctive appearance.

M Sport Pro models come with their own unique headlights, featuring black inner sections for a more aggressive aesthetic. The rear bumper of the base 420i gets a black lower section and larger exhaust finishers, while the top-tier M440i boasts exclusive styling tweaks, including a standard black finish to exterior elements, new horizontal bars within the kidney grilles, and black exhaust finishers.

Step inside the 2024 BMW 4 Series, and you’ll be greeted by a subtly reshaped dashboard, marking the second update since the introduction of the curved dual-screen display in 2022. The air vents have been reshaped and are surrounded by trim elements in standard aluminium, wood, or optional carbon fiber for the M440i.

Adding to the interior refresh is a new steering wheel with a flat bottom and standard-fit shift paddles for the automatic gearbox. The latest OS 8.5 system has been integrated into the dual-screen display, offering enhanced customization options. The air conditioning controls are seamlessly integrated into the screen, sitting in a static bar at its base for easy access.

BMW has streamlined the engine range for the 2024 4 Series, offering two mild-hybrid assisted petrol engine options paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The base 420i features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 135 kW and 300 Nm of torque, exclusively powering the rear wheels.

The M440i, sitting atop the range, boasts a 275 kW 3.0-liter straight-six petrol engine generating 500 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels, enabling a rapid sprint to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds. Both engines incorporate BMW’s mild-hybrid system, utilizing a 48V electrical system and compact battery to enhance performance and efficiency.

While diesel options have been dropped, the 2024 BMW 4 Series lineup promises an exhilarating driving experience with a reduced powertrain range, increased standard features, and a sleek design. The models are currently available for order, with deliveries expected in the spring of this year. Stay tuned for updates on the four-door Gran Coupe variant, which is likely to follow suit with similar enhancements in the coming months. Embrace the road with the reimagined 2024 BMW 4 Series Coupe and Convertible.
