Updated 2025 BMW M2 Coupé due in Australia towards the end of 2024

The updated 2025 BMW M2 will reach Australia later this year, bringing more power and torque, along with various updates. Did we mention… more power and torque? 💪
The rear-drive sports coupé’s straight-six M TwinPower Turbo engine now produces 353kW, a 15kW increase from the previous model. The automatic variant sees its peak torque rise from 550Nm to 600Nm.
Updates to throttle mapping and response across all drive modes provide quicker acceleration. The six-speed manual transmission model, unique in its segment, now claims to reach 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds – a 0.1 second improvement.
The eight-speed M Steptronic Sport transmission variant achieves the same sprint in 4.0 seconds, also a tenth of a second faster.
If you’re hitting the track, good news: both transmissions have improved their 0-200km/h times, with the auto now claiming to reach the mark in 12.9 seconds and the manual in 13.7 seconds – both shaving 0.6 seconds off their previous claimed times.
The M2’s powertrain updates are complemented by equipment and technology enhancements. The vehicle is now available in new paint finishes, including Sao Paulo Yellow, Fire Red metallic, Portimao Blue metallic, and Skyscraper Grey metallic. A new M light-alloy wheel design in double-spoke silver is also available.
Inside, the BMW M2 gets a revised dash with a new M leather steering wheel, Vernasca leather upholstery in a new red/black bi-colour variant, and optional lightweight M Carbon bucket seats. The latest BMW iDrive system, based on Operating System 8.5, is also included.
The M2’s cabin also has a redesigned instrument panel and new adjustment controls for the air vent grilles.
